Snowdrops and Oldhands – Czech Coal Chess Match 2012

Olafsson raised the plag of Oldhands

[12.12.2012 00:00:00] - Oldhands wrote down the first winning in the fourth round! After all, they will start the free day of Wednesday in a better mood, because they managed to wipe out one point of the Snowdrop´s lead. The game of Oleg Romanišin with Valentina Gunina and the game of Vlastimil Hort with Tania Sachdev didn´t ride up the balance and finished by a quick draw. The plag was raised by Fridrik Olafsson, who didn´t let the Kristýna Havlíková´s king go to the castling, and forced the capitulation already in the move 24. Even with one pawn less, Wolfgang Uhlmann kept her adversary on the draw curb in the rook endgame and so he hold the win of Oldhands in a final score 2,5 : 1,5.
State of the match after the 4th round: Snowdrops - Oldhands 10 : 6
