ČERNOBÍLÁ CESTA (BLACK AND WHITE ROUTE)

The most beautiful studies and problems of Mario Matouš, the best Czech chess composer of the 20th century, and bizarre chess stories of Pavel Houser connected by illustrations of Kristina Peřichová into one splendid book. The book was published also in limited numbered edition (100 copies), bound in imitation leather with an embossed diagram, paper cover and sewn ribbon bookmark. On 240 pages you will found 45 studies and problems, 22 stories and 36 illustrations. The book is supplemented by biographies of both of the authors and several yet non-published photos. The book was published by Prague chess society in 2014.

Chess Train 2014

Wide prize fund

[15.08.2014 00:00:00] - As it is traditional (in the Chess Train) an also extraordinary (among the other tournaments) this years prize fund will be really rich. Beside the financial reward of 1500 EUR, there will also be lots of other prizes and vouchers for services.

What specifically?

"Well now we have some Russel Hobbs kitchen equipment (coffee machine and toaster), chess carafes made out of glass from Ajeto glassworks, tennis backpacks Babolat, vouchers for weekend stay in 4-stars hotels in Prague and Karlovy Vary for 2 persons, a set of 5 professional locks from Stanley company (Kwikset series), hairdressing tweaks from Remington (styler air-styler and ceramic hair straightener), chess books from Sach-Info publishing house," says the chairman of Pražská šachová společnost Pavel Matocha.

As in former Chess Train tournaments, every participant gets a prize.

In the tournament is now signed 51 chess players and 9 other have their places reserved. If we add 20 places which are reserved for the sponsors and partners of the Chess Train 2014, there is just the last fifth of the capacity free. If you want to take place in this extraordinary journey which combines chess tournament with exploring of some of the ancient cities of Central Europe, just do not hesitate with joining.

This is the fourth time that the chess train is being prepared for you by Prague Chess Society in cooperation with the general partner Czech Railways. Other partners and sponsors for this year are Lama Energy, Go Parking, Czech Tourism, JLV, EA Hotels, Phoenix Praha and Franck Provost. Media partners are weekly magazine Euro, journal E15 and Chess weekly.
