Chess Train 2018

Steam Pressure Is Rising

[03.10.2018 00:00:00] - The Chess Train is going to start its eighth journey around the Central Europe next week already. Over 100 chess players have registered to participate (check the starting list), however few places are still available for those, who like to make a last-minute decision.

The Chess Train will be on its way from 12. October till 16. October going on Prague – Ostrava – Warsaw – Krakow – Hradec Kralove – Prague route. On the board of the train an international rapid chess tournament will take place. The prices are worth over CZK 100,000, however, the biggest reward is the actual participation!

Although the Olympic motto “the important thing is not to win, but to take part”, has not been applied at Olympic Games for a long time. Even the Czech chess team´s main focus at the ongoing Chess Olympiad in Batumi is to be successful rather than have a nice trip to Georgia. However, on the Chess Train the participation is still the key thing.

The Chess Train is not only the international chess tournament, but it is a trip of chess friends around five beautiful Central European cities.
If you are able to take five days off, do not hesitate and register (preferably via e-mail prazska.sachova@gmail.com). Sometimes if you miss an opportunity, you cannot undo it.
