World number 3 player dated to 01/01/2014 and the best chess player of USA GM Hikaru Nakamura was the main guest of the festival ČEZ CHESS TROPHY 2014. He won the match over the best Czech chess player David Navara, when he scored 3,5:0,5 in four games in Prague. The part of the festival was also a simul of Hikaru Nakamura against 30 rivals, lectures of skilled GMs, a quiz of Czech chess legend Vlastimil Hort and launch of the book Black and white route.
