The most beautiful studies and problems of Mario Matouš, the best Czech chess composer of the 20th century, and bizarre chess stories of Pavel Houser connected by illustrations of Kristina Peřichová into one splendid book.
The book was published also in limited numbered edition (100 copies), bound in imitation leather with an embossed diagram, paper cover and sewn ribbon bookmark.
On 240 pages you will found 45 studies and problems, 22 stories and 36 illustrations. The book is supplemented by biographies of both of the authors and several yet non-published photos. The book was published by Prague chess society in 2014.

[20.12.2012] - Prague Chess Society and České dráhy are preparing next year of the tournament in a train and of a trip around five beutiful Central-European cities. Chess Train 2013 will make the route of Prague – Regensburg (Germany) – Innsbruck (Austria) - Salzburg (Austria) – Český Krumlov (Czech republic) – Prague in the days from the 11th to 15th of October 2013.

[18.12.2012] - Legendary grandmasters, with the average age of 70 years (and that is without 90 year´s old Yuri Averbakh), demonstrated a beutiful prosecuting ride in Poděbrady. They showed to young Snowdrops, what does it mean to fight and to fight as a team. This year they won the match 17 : 15 and all the spa town applauded them.
Snowdrops were winning by 5 points after first three rounds and it seemed that this year the match will be an offensive just in one direction. Moreover, everybody expected that with a passing time, Oldhands´ breath will get shorter. But the legends played every day bette... [all]

[15.12.2012] - Will Snodrops be able to stop good running of Oldhands? The players opened the seventh round with this question.
This started by a quick draw of Fridrik Olafsson and Alina Kašlinkaja after 16 moves, when any of the two sides didn´t want to take a risk. After the beginning of the game against Wolfgang Uhlmann, Kristýna Havlíková obtained a promising position, but she didn´t continue very exactly, being in a time distress, and she broke it by a mistake that costs her one rook and she literally offered to Wolfgang the point. [14.12.2012] - In the sixth round of the match Snowdrops vs. Oldhands, the girl´s team with white pieces has the task to stop the increase of Oldhands. But Snowdrops didn´t manage, Oldhands won again, this time with a slight difference and they effaced another one point.
Tania Sachdev is for the present in a great form in Poděbrady. Playing with Fridrik Olafsson in the sixth round, she took a sacrificed pawn and she didn´t allowed, by an exact game, to her adversary to develop expected attack, contrariwise she started the offensive and she forced Fridrik to resign. [14.12.2012] - Fifth round of the match was evidently of Oldhands. They profited of the advantege of white pieces and they noted the winning score 3:1. Oleg Romanishin being in a better position, took advantage of Kristýna Havlíková´s small mistake to obtain a pawn. But he wasn´t satisfied just with one pawn and he continued reinforcing his position and he conducted Kristýna to resign, because of coverless menace of losing figure. Fridrik Olafsson added the second point. In an exact strategic game against Valentina Gunina, he profited of free column and forced his adversary to sacrifice the quality and soon ... [all]
