ČERNOBÍLÁ CESTA (BLACK AND WHITE ROUTE)
The most beautiful studies and problems of Mario Matouš, the best Czech chess composer of the 20th century, and bizarre chess stories of Pavel Houser connected by illustrations of Kristina Peřichová into one splendid book.
The book was published also in limited numbered edition (100 copies), bound in imitation leather with an embossed diagram, paper cover and sewn ribbon bookmark.
On 240 pages you will found 45 studies and problems, 22 stories and 36 illustrations. The book is supplemented by biographies of both of the authors and several yet non-published photos. The book was published by Prague chess society in 2014.

Results of this 13 rounds rapid chess tournament will be counted on the ELO FIDE rapid list. [01.08.2012] - The best Czech women chess player Kristyna Havlikova and the legendary Slovak grandmaster Jan Plachetka will travel in the Chess Train 2012. Also grandmaster Martin Petr, director of PORG Vaclav Klaus, director of Dopravni stavby Brno Vlastimil Chladek, chairman of supervisory board of Phoenix Zeppelin Josef Mixa or the boss of Ingem Jan Michalek will take part in this rapid chess tournament.

Playing chess is not a criminal act in Island
[25.06.2012] - Russian grandmaster Peter Svidler won the CEZ CHESS TROPHY 2012, when he beated Czech grandmaster David Navara 3 : 1. The last game was absolutly peaceful – players cleaned up the board from the pieces quickly and they signed the draw in the move 28 (after three times repetition).
Sunday afternoon was started by the lecture of Einar S. Einarsson who told about Bobby Fischer. Einar S. Einarsson worked on the freeing of Bobby Fischer from custody in Japan.
It was important that chessplayers in Island persuaded the politicians in Island to grant a citizenship to Bobby Fischer.... [all]

[24.06.2012] - The chess festival CEZ CHESS TROPHY 2012 is not only the match between two top players. There are also simuls, interesting lectures and philately exposition of Chess Olimpics in Prague 1931 and Buenos Aires 1939.
Grandmaster Jan Markos overcrowded the hall with his excellent lecture. He taught and showed how effectively use chess programs, where we can trust them and where contrary the chess engines do not understand the chess position at all. Simirarly great was the lecture given by Yochanan Afek, who told about rook endings.

[22.06.2012] - „I have to take care of Petr Boleslav if he won against Viši Anand because I have never managed that,“ glossed Peter Svidler, the winner of the World Cup and sixfold champion of Russia, before starting the simul. With a smile on his face, exchanging a few words and sometimes recommending the adversery to return a bad chess move, he walked around the chess players in a simultaneous game in Prague. Finally he achieved better result than the World Champion Viswanathan Anand and the same good result as the best chess woman player of the world Judita Polgárová.
