ČERNOBÍLÁ CESTA (BLACK AND WHITE ROUTE)
The most beautiful studies and problems of Mario Matouš, the best Czech chess composer of the 20th century, and bizarre chess stories of Pavel Houser connected by illustrations of Kristina Peřichová into one splendid book.
The book was published also in limited numbered edition (100 copies), bound in imitation leather with an embossed diagram, paper cover and sewn ribbon bookmark.
On 240 pages you will found 45 studies and problems, 22 stories and 36 illustrations. The book is supplemented by biographies of both of the authors and several yet non-published photos. The book was published by Prague chess society in 2014.

[04.12.2011] - Todays first round has started eight-round tournament Snowdrops and Oldhands 2011. At the beginning Snowdrops drew lots black stones, which meant a careful preparation for their opponents. „With the preparation for the oponents got away Sachdev and Muzychuk,“ said captain of Snowdrops IM Michal Konopka, who commented the whole match for attending spectators. The satisfaction was only half, as always the captain of Oldhands Vlastimil Hort shuffled cards. „Again we didnt guess right Horts opening, as well as in Hübners game”, added Michal Konopka.

Grandmaster Sosonko “baptized” Mikhail Tal
[03.12.2011] - Grandmaster Genna Sosonko launched his new book „Tal and other Essays“, which was published by Šach Info. The ceremony took place on Saturday 3. 12. 2011 in Marienbad. Before the match of Snowdrops and Oldhands – Czech Coal Chess Match 2011 Genna Sosonko had played a simul against 14 opponents also.
Grandmaster Sosonko won 10,5 : 3,5. The only winners who beat Sosonko were Jan Panos from Marienbad and vice-rector of The University of Finance and Administration Petr Budinsky. Among opponents was also Pavel Englicky, who will play a simul of Raindropchess on Sunday December 4, 2011. Co... [all]

[03.12.2011] - Magician Štěpán Šmíd, who decided through his magics to stop the absurdity of the world and change it for the better, drew lots the match Snowdrops and Oldhands – Czech Coal Chess Match 2011. [29.11.2011] - Grandmaster Dragoljub Velimirovic cannot arrive to Marienbad due to serious illness. In the team of Oldhands he will be replaced by Russian-American grandmaster Boris Gulko, who is the only one who won a championship of USSR and of the USA also. Grandmaster Gulko, who had long sought to emigrate from the Soviet Union, but he could not for a long time period, can in addition boast about a positive score with Garry Kasparov.

[20.11.2011] - Russian-Dutch grandmaster Genna Sosonko is known as the author of brilliant essays from the chess environment and finely depicted portraits of many chess players. Already third book of his essays will be published by Sach-Info and launched on the first day of the match “Snowdrops vs. Oldhands” in Marienbad.
