The most beautiful studies and problems of Mario Matouš, the best Czech chess composer of the 20th century, and bizarre chess stories of Pavel Houser connected by illustrations of Kristina Peřichová into one splendid book.
The book was published also in limited numbered edition (100 copies), bound in imitation leather with an embossed diagram, paper cover and sewn ribbon bookmark.
On 240 pages you will found 45 studies and problems, 22 stories and 36 illustrations. The book is supplemented by biographies of both of the authors and several yet non-published photos. The book was published by Prague chess society in 2014.

[13.06.2011] - World champion Viswanathan Anand played on Sunday 12 June in Michna Palace a simul against 26 opponents. He played really fast and after 2 hours and 40 minutes could the arbiter announce the result 25:1 for Viswanathan Anand. The only victory was in the hands of Petr Boleslav, editor of chess server Novoborsky, who defeated the world champion.

[11.06.2011] - The world champion and world number one Viswanathan Anand came to Prague to play a simul against thirty opponents and initiated the chess festival ČEZ CHESS TROPHY 2011. Among the opponents of GM Anand will be for example deputy general director of UniCredit Bank Ales Barabas, director of risk management ČEZ Jan Klaus, company owner of K CERO Roman Cerulik, mayor of Prague 1 Oldrich Lomecky and writer Jan Novak.

[09.05.2011] - The match between grandmasters David Navara and Sergey Movsesian (commentated by GM Lubomir Kavalek), simuls of world champion Viswanathan Anand and GM Jan Smejkal, lectures given by Yochanan Afek, Vlastimil Hort, Lubomir Kavalek, Bretislav Modr and Vitezslav Houska are parts of the chess festival CEZ CHESS TROPHY. There will be also the special postal stamp, the chess-philately exhibition, the launch of the book about Karel Opocensky (the first Czech chess professional).

[27.02.2011] - World champion Viswanathan Anand will be the guest of honour of the chess festival ČEZ CHESS TROPHY 2011. He will make the first ceremonial move of the match between grandmasters David Navara and Sergey Movsesian and will play a simul against thirty opponents. This simul of the current world champion will initiate the whole festival on Sunday 12th June in the afternoon.

[21.02.2011] - Sergey Movsesian moved this year into the Armenian national team, to defend the colours of the land of his forefathers, but he still owns Slovak citizenship and he is without any question the best Slovak chess player of the first decade of the third millennium. The best Czech player of the past decade is David Navara. And these two grandmasters will compete in the match for six games within this year's festival ČEZ CHESS TROPHY 2011.

[29.11.2010] - Snowdrops won the match against Oldhands 18:14. Rounds three and four were decisive, Snowdrops gained there four points advantage. Oldhands had less tournament practice in this year so they weren´t in optimal chess mood in the start. In the second half of the match they managed to keep up with Snowdrops, this part ended in a draw 8:8. There were fightable games in this match, majority of games ended resultatively (only ten games from 32 games ended in draw). [27.11.2010] - Snowdrops tournament´s victory was clear, but the games was eagerly awaited still. Lajos Portisch lost previous three games, but in the game against Arianne Caoili he managed to win. Tereza Olšarová played very well in this match, but she had problems in the endgames. Her oponent Vlastimil Hort wisely melted the game of the last round into the endgame; and Olšarová really did wrong and lost. Viktoria Cmilyte played the opening badly and her oponent Wolfgang Uhlmann had no problems to hold a draw.
