ČERNOBÍLÁ CESTA (BLACK AND WHITE ROUTE)
The most beautiful studies and problems of Mario Matouš, the best Czech chess composer of the 20th century, and bizarre chess stories of Pavel Houser connected by illustrations of Kristina Peřichová into one splendid book.
The book was published also in limited numbered edition (100 copies), bound in imitation leather with an embossed diagram, paper cover and sewn ribbon bookmark.
On 240 pages you will found 45 studies and problems, 22 stories and 36 illustrations. The book is supplemented by biographies of both of the authors and several yet non-published photos. The book was published by Prague chess society in 2014.

[12.06.2014] - Chess gates of the Michna palace on Prague's Kampa are closed for another year. Rich program containing a simul, numerous chess lectures and especially 4-games match between American number one player Hikaru Nakamura and the best Czech player David Navara has been fulfilled on Tuesday's evening. The winner of the 12th year of ČEZ CHESS TROPHY is the currenly 7th player of world rating American Hikaru Nakamura, who beated the Czech number one plaer David Navara 3,5:0,5.

[10.06.2014] - A knowledge quiz has become a regular part of chess festivals on Kampa. This year was not an exception and so three contestants seated themselves in desks of chess professor Vlastimil Hort. There was a slight, but pleasant change, when questions about chess history were replaced by the ones about concrete positions from famous games. What counts as points were the names of protagonists of the game, time and place and of course a grandmaster´s story in addition. [09.06.2014] - Temperatures are rising all over the Czech republic and so is the tension in Michnas Palace. The task of heating up the atmosphere before the second game of David Navara and Hikaru Nakamura fell on GM Ján Markoš. His lecture "What GM does not say and a coach in your club does not know" was attended by pleasant amount of spectators. [08.06.2014] - Sadly, the spectators of the first game of the match of David Navara and Hikaru Nakamura were not lucky enough to see the sacrifice of black queen on f2, but still the game in King Indian could catch the attention of numerous audience in Michna Palace. Nakamura, American number one player, has proved himself prepared and inventive in his favourite opening and he successfully made a whole point out of the blacks.

[06.06.2014] - First steps of Hikaru Nakamura led to Prague's Kampa to Michna Palace on Friday's afternoon. For the opening day of this year's chess festival ČEZ Chess Trophy, there was on program a simul, in which thirty rivals fought against the World's No. 7. Four-hours-long seance had, as expected, the clear winner, Hikaru Nakamura set up the final score on 28:2. [02.06.2014] - This year's Chess Train is ready for you to sign up. Special website was released yesterday altogether with an application form.
On train, during it's ride, we will play a 12-rounds rapid tournament. The capacity of the tournament hall in saloon cars of Czech Railways is restricted (max. 100 persons can play the tournament), so don't hesitate with your applications. You can bring your non-playing partners or friends to the tournament, because afternoons and evenings can be spent with them in beautiful stage cities.
