The most beautiful studies and problems of Mario Matouš, the best Czech chess composer of the 20th century, and bizarre chess stories of Pavel Houser connected by illustrations of Kristina Peřichová into one splendid book.
The book was published also in limited numbered edition (100 copies), bound in imitation leather with an embossed diagram, paper cover and sewn ribbon bookmark.
On 240 pages you will found 45 studies and problems, 22 stories and 36 illustrations. The book is supplemented by biographies of both of the authors and several yet non-published photos. The book was published by Prague chess society in 2014.

[27.06.2019 00:00:00] - The ceremonial first move of the last festival day was made by Vlastimil Ježek, the chairman of the Municipal House, and soon after that, bloody battles flared up. All of the Wednesday games ended in a decisive way. Both Ding Liren and Thai Dai Van Nguyen defeated their opponents 3: 0 the last day, confirming their leadership and deservingly winning the trophies of the 2019 Chess Festival winner. Ding Liren beat David Navara 7: 3 and Thai Dai Van Nguyen beat Jan Timman with the same score.
Among the guests of the festival, you could also meet the legends of Czech chess Vlastimil Hort, Jan Smejkal and Vlastimil Jansa.

For two days, David Navara was a equal opponent to Ding Liren, but the third day the Chinese Grandmaster broke him.
The best Czech junior champion Thai Dai Van Nguyen convincingly beat the world chess legend Jan Timman.
Among the guests of the festival was also the Czech Grandmaster Jan Smejkal, a member of the golden Czech generation.
