Combining a game of chess with a theatre performance, the living chess demonstrates the beauty of chess to the general public. On Strelecky Island in the Prague city centre on Saturday the 4th of June, two chess grandmasters will be playing a blindfold game and their moves will be performed by the living chess pieces on a 12x12m chessboard.
The performance is accompanied by fencing when the pieces attack one another, providing an attractive show for children as well.
After the performance, an autograph session will follow with the best Czech chess player David Navara (his book Můj šachový svět – My Chess World – can be purchased at the event) and the World Junior Champion Richard Rapport.
