Legendary grandmasters (Gulko, Ivkov, Uhlmann and Dorfman) will compete in two-round scheveningen match Snowdrops & Oldhands – Vršanská uhelná chess match 2013 with the rising generation of women chess players (Kashlinskaya, Muzychuk, Ziaziulkina and Cmilyte) from November the 30th to December the 8th in hotel Zámeček in Poděbrady. The time limit of a game is 90 minutes for 40 moves with additional 30 minutes till the end of the game plus 30 seconds for each completed move. The tournament is held by Šach Mat inc. and the civic association Prague Chess Society.

Czech - Slovak Chess Match of Managers

Chess match of Czech and Slovak managers in rapid chess on eighteen chessboards took place from 8th to 9th of November in luxury hotel Sen. The winners were Czech directors 3,5 - 0,5 (with score 41,5 - 30,5). Weekend chess meeting was accompanied by alternative simultaneous of grandmasters Ján Plachetka and Robert Cvek, and also by night tournament in blitz chess.

Prague Chess Society and České Dráhy prepare another year of the chess tournament associated with a trip around five beautiful Central European cities. Chess Train 2013 has chosen the trail Prague – Regensburg (Germany) – Innsbruck (Austria) - Salzburg (Austria) – Český Krumlov (Czech Republic) – Prague in days of 11th to 15th of October 2013.
From Friday to Tuesday again, you will have the possibility to play 5 days rapid chess tournament in a specially launched train and to see several nice towns – ancient Regensburg, Innsbruck sunk in the Alps, thereafter Mozart´s Salzburg and also two most beautiful Czech towns - Český Krumlov and Prague.

ČEZ CHESS TROPHY 2013

ČEZ CHESS TROPHY 2013

No. 2 female player, 19-years-old Chinese GM Hou Yifan will be the chief guest of the ČEZ CHESS TROPHY 2013 festival. She will play a match against the best Czech GM David Navara and a simultaneous exhibition in Prague. Hou Yifan was the Women's World Chess Champion in years 2010 – 2012.
