Sight of Czech Krumlov

Cesky Krumlov has been a part of the UNESCO World Heritage list for 25 years. This historical city, the first notes of which date back to the 13th century, is a popular centre of culture, not only for its preserved historical monuments, but also for its convenient location on the river Vltava, which makes it a popular centre of canoeists during summer.

Castle Baroque Theatre – Cesky Krumlov's castle theatre is one of the oldest Baroque castle-type theatres preserved in Central Europe, and it represents the most comprehensively preserved Baroque theatre stage of this type in the world. Currently, it's being used as a functional theatre museum, where visitors can see the completely preserved stage space with original wooden benches, the orchestra pit and also the space of lower machinery, equipped with sets of sliding frames, cable hoses and windlasses.

Revolving auditorium – The Revolving auditorium Cesky Krumlov ranks among the leading European “open-air“ theatre stages. It has been a significant and unique building for more than half a century, not only on a regional, but also on a global scale. The stage area, consisting of a large park, allows using the remarkable and beautiful scenery of the castle garden or the frontage of the Rococo villa Bellaire, which completes the unique atmosphere of the productions staged here.

Castle and Chateau Cesky Krumlov – The grounds of the castle and chateau Cesky Krumlov form the second largest castle and chateau complex in Czech Republic, right after the Prague castle. The grounds consist of five courtyards and a vast castle garden, which includes buildings such as Riding-school, Villa Bellaire, Cascade fountain, Castle pond or the already mentioned Revolving auditorium. The Cloak Bridge is an interesting architectural achievement, leading from Upper Castle to the Fifth courtyard. A wooden bridge with a drawbridge used to stand there, but it was gradually replaced with a Masonry, which currently consists of a three-level covered corridor built on massive arched pillars.
