[01.12.2016 00:00:00] - It is always a joy to remember pleasant trips. This years Chess Train returned from its journey across Central Europe six weeks ago and we are already preparing for Chess Train 2017. But lets take a moment now to appreciate the photos from this years journey.
The photos of Chess Train 2016 participants were all amazing and they brought back memories of a perfect tournament on the railway, making it really hard to choose the best ones. After long debates and a bottle of good wine, we have decided to award the following photos:
The first place goes to Krzysztof Olechnicki for his two black and white photos Shadow Attack and The King in a Beautiful Hand. The second place goes to the Snapshot with a Knife by Erika Orságová and the photo Endless Train in Full Speed by Olga Velíková came third.
Krzysztof Olechnicki: Krzysztof Olechnicki: Shadow Attack
Krzysztof Olechnicki: The King in a Beautiful Hand
Erika Orságová: Snapshot with a Knife
Olga Velíková: Endless Train in Full Speed
We would like to thank all participants for their photos. Not everyone can win, but we would like to mention at least a couple more authors, whose photos we found very pretty as well: Antonín Viláek, Andreas Trinkl, Josef Bára and Adam Gálik. Adam Gálik also sent us an engaging trailer for his film, which is now being edited and will be screened in June 2017. The name of the film is The Chess Train Millionaire and we cannot wait to see it!
We would now like to say goodbye to Chess Train 2016 and invite you to Chess Train 2017. The train will be on its journey from 13 to 17 October 2017 on the route Prague Olomouc Trenčín Bratislava Lednice Prague and the registration will be open soon! You can find the latest information on this website or on the Chess Train Facebook page, where you can watch the trailer for Adam Gáliks film.
