[20.10.2017 00:00:00] - The seventh year of the Chess Train was blessed with good fortune splendid weather every day (nothing but sun), no conflicts aboard of the train apart chessboard fights, beautiful cities and pleasant bars and above all, fantastic people all around.
Well-deserved winner of the Chess Train Tournament 2017 became IM Roman Khaetsky, who gained 7,5 points in nine rounds. Having gained 0,5 point less, Thomas Hoepfl and Oleg Maximov had second and third places. However, there were many more awards - Václav Grundman was named tournaments best breakthrough player, Vojtěch Trocha as best party buddy, Jon Loman received award for the most beautiful chess game
And so, we could carry on and name all forty award laureates from the Chess Train 2017, however it would be too long to read
So let us just remind you that you can check the results on Chess-Results and the photogallery on Zonerama and that the Chess Train 2018 will start its journey on Friday 12 October heading for Poland.
