The most beautiful studies and problems of Mario Matou, the best Czech chess composer of the 20th century, and bizarre chess stories of Pavel Houser connected by illustrations of Kristina Peřichová into one splendid book.
The book was published also in limited numbered edition (100 copies), bound in imitation leather with an embossed diagram, paper cover and sewn ribbon bookmark.
On 240 pages you will found 45 studies and problems, 22 stories and 36 illustrations. The book is supplemented by biographies of both of the authors and several yet non-published photos. The book was published by Prague chess society in 2014.

This year, the world unique Chess train will be on its way for the eight time already. This time around, the participants can look forward travelling from the Czech capital Prague to capital of Poland Warsaw, via old towns of Krakow and Hradec Králové as well as via distinct city od Ostrava.
Every chessplayer, grandmaster, local champion as well as hobby player, who has not played a tournament so far, is welcome to sign to participate and play an international rapid chess tournament on board of the Chess Train 2018. Detail information on Chess Train 2018 can be found here.
You can meet chessplayers from all over the world on the train. In past years not only players from almost every country from Europe travelled on the train, but also players from more far away destinations, such as Australia, China, Philippines, Canada, Mexico, United Arab Emirates or USA.
Previous winners include for instance a legendary Czech grandmaster Vlastimil Hort, Swedish grandmaster Lars Karlsson, Turkish grandmaster Suat Atalik or Australian grandmaster Ian Rogers. You will also have an opportunity to meet chess legends on board of the train. Not only you will play a chess tournament, but at the same time you will visit several beautiful Central European cities. The chess Train 2018 will be on its way from Friday 12 October to Tuesday 16 October, travelling via route Prague Ostrava Warsaw Krakow Hradec Králové Prague.
