The most beautiful studies and problems of Mario Matou, the best Czech chess composer of the 20th century, and bizarre chess stories of Pavel Houser connected by illustrations of Kristina Peřichová into one splendid book.
The book was published also in limited numbered edition (100 copies), bound in imitation leather with an embossed diagram, paper cover and sewn ribbon bookmark.
On 240 pages you will found 45 studies and problems, 22 stories and 36 illustrations. The book is supplemented by biographies of both of the authors and several yet non-published photos. The book was published by Prague chess society in 2014.

[08.05.2018 00:00:00] - One of the best views of Prague is from Palace Lucerna´s roof. On Tuesday, 12 June from 3 o´clock p.m. you can enjoy the view, but mainly to play blitz tournament, on which - apart from David Navara and Ding Liren - Pentala Harikrishna, Sergey Movsesyan, Robert Cvek, Vlastimil Hort and Jan Smejkal are invited.
The blitz tournament will be the first event of this year ČEZ CHESS TROPHY festival and at the same time the first tournament from the series of tournaments, which will be taking place on roofs and towers, a new project of the Prague Chess Society.
The tournament will be attractive not only for its venue and for respectable set of players, but also for its prices. The winner will get St. Wenceslas golden ducat, worth of CZK 7,000 and the second and the third player will be awarded silver memory medial the Royal City of Prague, worth of CZK 4,000.
There will also be awards for the winners of several rating categories, so there is a chance to win for everyone, including hobby players. There are no restrictions to participate on the tournament, the only thing you need to do is to register on time, as the number of participant is limited. A starting fee is CZK 300.
