The most beautiful studies and problems of Mario Matouš, the best Czech chess composer of the 20th century, and bizarre chess stories of Pavel Houser connected by illustrations of Kristina Peřichová into one splendid book.
The book was published also in limited numbered edition (100 copies), bound in imitation leather with an embossed diagram, paper cover and sewn ribbon bookmark.
On 240 pages you will found 45 studies and problems, 22 stories and 36 illustrations. The book is supplemented by biographies of both of the authors and several yet non-published photos. The book was published by Prague chess society in 2014.

[08.05.2018] - One of the best views of Prague is from Palace Lucerna´s roof. On Tuesday, 12 June from 3 o´clock p.m. you can enjoy the view, but mainly to play blitz tournament, on which - apart from David Navara and Ding Liren - Pentala Harikrishna, Sergey Movsesyan, Robert Cvek, Vlastimil Hort and Jan Smejkal are invited.
The blitz tournament will be the first event of this year ČEZ CHESS TROPHY festival and at the same time the first tournament from the series of tournaments, which will be taking place on roofs and towers, a new project of the Prague Chess Society.

This year, the world unique Chess train will be on its way for the eight time already. This time around, the participants can look forward travelling from the Czech capital Prague to capital of Poland Warsaw, via old towns of Krakow and Hradec Králové as well as via distinct city od Ostrava.

[21.11.2017] - Ethologically, we can divide devotees of the royal game of chess to two types.
The first are “chess nerds”. Those players are not bothered where and with which chess pieces they play, how their opponent is dress or whether he smells nice. Chess is sheer abstraction to them. They only care about e4 - e5, Jf3 - Jf6, Jxe5 - d6...and nothing else.

[20.10.2017] - The seventh year of the Chess Train was blessed with good fortune – splendid weather every day (nothing but sun), no conflicts aboard of the train apart chessboard fights, beautiful cities and pleasant bars and above all, fantastic people all around.
Well-deserved winner of the Chess Train Tournament 2017 became IM Roman Khaetsky, who gained 7,5 points in nine rounds.
