Chess Train 2015

(October 2015, Prague - Dresden - Wroclav - Bratislava - Vienna - Prague)
The Chess Train 2015 went on the route Prague (Czech Republic) - Dresden (Germany) - Wroclav (Poland) - Bratislava (Slovakia) - Vienna (Austria) - Prague from 9th to 13th of October. Swedish grandmaster Lars Karlsson became the winner of the 11-rounds tournament in the rapid chess. GM Julio Sadorra (Philiphines) finished the 2nd and GM Raj Tischbierek (Germany) was 3rd. Alltogether 120 players from 19 countries all around the world have participated in the tournament.

ČEZ Chess Trophy 2015

(June 2015, Michna Palace, Prague)
The seventh best chess player in the world, the Filipino American grandmaster Wesley So, was the main guest of the ČEZ CHESS TROPHY 2015 festival. Between 13 and 16 July in Prague, Wesley So played the match of 4 classical games against the Czech chess champion David Navara. GM So won 3:1. The festival also included a simul with Wesley So (12 July), lectures of experienced grandmasters, chess pieces exhibition and the launch of David Navara’s book “Můj šachový svět” (My Chess World).
