Wolfgang Uhlmann didn´t manage to reinforce his adventageous position against Valentina Gunina and the match finished in a calm waters of a fair draw. First victory for Oldhands of this year arranged Vlastimil Hort, when he, being in a better position, profited of a mistake of Kristýna Havlíková in a time distress, and he obtained whole figure. But Oldhands haven´t rejoiced for a longtime, everyting was decided in the fourth hour of the game in a time distress.

Finally, the dramatic game between Oleg Romanišin and Alina Kašlinskaja had to decide about the victory in the second day. Oleg Romanišin, playing with white figures, obtained the advantage in time distress, but just before the time control, the tender flower changed, by the incredible counter attack started by move 39…Da3!, into a hearthless Oldhands-eater, who didn´t let its prey escape anymore. So the Snowdrops came into flower again in frosty Poděbrady and after the victory 2,5:1,5 they increased the total score on 6 : 2.
